We already moved to Acapulco, GRO Mexico, and, now we're ready to get out of the heat. We've heard of a wonderful place on the planet called "Boquete", or "The Gap", in english.

It's in the western edge of Panama.

I’m finding there are things that I can do from here to help the move.

Checking the immigration attorney. I’ve found a way to check the credentials of attorneys in Panama vis-a-vis how effective they are in obtaining pensionado visas.  I went to the National Directorate of Immigration for the Republic of Panama’s web site.  There, you can check to see how experienced, and the success rate, of individual lawyers in visa matters.  Go HERE and in the “Lawyer” blank put in the first or last name of the attorney your checking.  In the nationality, you can choose yours, if you like, and then click Search You’ll see the applications and results of the applications for visas for that attorney.  I found it to be very useful information, and we chose an attorney yesterday with the help of that information.
