About

We are Bruce and Sharon Brown.
We already moved to Acapulco, GRO Mexico, and, now we're ready to get out of the heat. We've heard of a wonderful place on the planet called "Boquete", or "The Gap", in english.

It's in the western edge of Panama.

This blog is about our moving there with our two children, Joshua and Mahlin.

Different feelings associated with the move to Boquete

An Emotional day in Boquete

Well, I woke up and felt very overwhelmed by all that is happening.........I mean, the reality of my “mission” here in Boquete really sunk in today.  I looked at a possible rental home, went to Mass at St. John the Baptist church here in town......and did a lot of praying and some crying.  I’ve been able to look at a few rental homes here in Boquete, and was trying to visualize my family in them.......wondering, would we like it here?  Would we enjoy this home?  I’m a big worrier most of the time, and need to really pray more.  I have felt pretty brave and excited about all of this so far, but just got a little out of sorts today.  I have met some wonderful people here in Panama and am very thankful for this opportunity to visit such a beautiful country, especially the town of Boquete.  It is very peaceful here.  I hope and pray that we can live here, and that all the details will work out for us to move and live here.

Note from Bruce:  This is a picture Sharon took of Boquete that day.  I think it’s beautiful.  Sharon says that the afternoon rains are regular this time of year, but that she looks forward to them --they are peaceful.
