Here in Boquete --absent internet

Thursday, 27. September 2007 by Bruce Brown

We’ll I arrived to Boquete about 3 weeks ago.  I haven’t posted anything yet as we don’t yet have internet.  I have some interesting stories about my drive here from Mexico and some great information about Boquete.  From all impressions so far, we are very pleased with our decision to come to Boquete.  It is beautiful here, and we love the people and culture.  As I said, just waiting for internet at the house.  More later.

Sharon, my wife could comment more on this.  But, our entire family is enthusiastic about being here.  There are a number of families here having come from the USA, and we get together regularly during the week to allow the kids to play together.  Also, my daughter made fast friends at school (we home school our son).  In fact, my two kids have been playing all day with some neat children from New Jersey most of the day --and I’m going over there now to eat some great Middle-Eastern food.

My wife and I are visiting Boquete in March (2008). We have heard wonderful things about retiring there and are seriously considering it. We would like to strike up a conversation with a Boquete xpat to prepapre for our visit. We are from California (sorry...) but I promise, we are down to earth “normal” people. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

You’ll have an abundance of people to talk to here.  Just post here before coming and we’ll make sure you have plenty of opportunity to meet other expats.  I’ll email you now so you have my email.
